Heart attack victims are missing out on vital rehabilitation after being turned away from clinics due to the pandemic, new figures reveal.
Experts have warned of a backlog of cases after the number attending to receive help getting back on their feet halved last year.
It follows a dramatic drop in the number admitted to hospital having suffered a heart attack in 2020, fueling fears of a hidden wave of patients suffering at home without treatment.
