The app industry is as hot as ever, with a record 218 billion downloads and $143 billion in global consumer spend in 2020.
Consumers last year also spent 3.5 trillion minutes using apps on Android devices alone. And in the U.S., app usage surged ahead of the time spent watching live TV. Currently, the average American watches 3.7 hours of live TV per day, but now spends four hours per day on their mobile devices.

Short-form mobile video app TikTok has been announced as a global sponsor of UEFA EURO 2020. This is the first time a digital entertainment platform has sponsored a major international tournament for UEFA and represents an exciting step for both TikTok and UEFA, bringing a new kind of partner to UEFA EURO 2020.
Through its partnership with UEFA, TikTok is looking to cement its reputation as the home for football fans to share their passion for the game.
