The name KYO – TEI is derived from the word Kyo 京 from Kyoto
The Imperial Capital – where Kaiseki was first introduced in the 9th century as the imperial cuisine,
and Tei 亭 represents our culinary destination.
Every meal at Kyo-Tei is carefully curated using only the freshest micro-seasonal ingredients available and showcasing it in a way that allows the ingredients to invoke all five senses.
Leading the culinary team is Master Chef Ishida Kinya, aged 74, from Kyoto, with over 56 years of culinary experience, and Henzan Hiroyuki from Okinawa who is also the Head Chef of Takumi-Tei in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
