Set in a picturesque coastal town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s new original film
Luca is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an extraordinary summer filled with sunshine, pasta and Vespas. But all this fun is held back by a life-changing secret: he is actually a sea monster that dwells in the ocean below.
Luca (voiced by Jacob Tremblay) is an introverted, kind-hearted kid that dreams of a new life on land, however, he is limited by the fears of his parents Daniela and Lorenzo (voiced by Maya Rudolph and Jim Gaffigan). To them, their family should fear the human race due to their cruelty towards fish-kind.
Here is a rundown of some of the key cases heard at Basildon and Southend Magistrates Courts.
Harvey Joyce, 23, of Redgrave Road, Basildon, admitted driving with no licence or insurance after being stopped on January 16 this year in Redgrave Road. He was fined £120, but Basildon Magistrates’ Court gave him no ban, due to “exceptional hardship” of a pregnant wife and having to care for his dementia-stricken grandmother. Joyce was given six penalty points.
Steve George, 30, of Meadgate, Basildon, admitted harassing the woman between March 19 and 30 this year. At Basildon Magistrates’ Court he was given 100 hours unpaid work and 20 days rehabilitation following the case.
