Rothenberg and Mario T. Colella are based in New York and are responsible for global marketing of Arena s asset-backed special situations strategy, said Parag Shah, managing director and head of marketing, in an interview. Arena is expanding its marketing team because the company has been doing well and assets under management are growing, Mr. Shah said. Arena Financial is a subsidiary of Arena Global Investors Group, a private credit manager. Ms. Pederson was managing director and portfolio specialist at Varde Partners. Andrea Raphael, Varde managing director, declined to comment regarding Ms. Pederson’s replacement.
