The North Attleboro organization receiving the $500 grant is First Baptist Church, located at 75 Park St. Now more than ever, as nonprofits across the region are dealing with the impact of COVID-19, we are committed to supporting their efforts to care for their communities, said Karen Voci, President of the Harvard Pilgrim Foundation, in a statement. We are so fortunate to have generous and engaged employees who help strengthen Harvard Pilgrim and the communities where we all live and work.

(Shutterstock) WEYMOUTH, MA Four Weymouth nonprofits have been awarded a total of $2,100 from the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation s Community Spirit 9/11 Mini-Grant Program. The local organizations who have been given funds are New England Wildlife Center and Weymouth Youth and Family Services, each receiving $500, and Weymouth Council for the Hungry Inc. and Weymouth Food Pantry, each receiving $550. St Vincent de Paul Middletown Receives Community Spirit Grant

(Shutterstock) MIDDLETOWN, CT St. Vincent de Paul Middletown was awarded $550 from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation s Community Spirit 9/11 Mini-Grant program, officials announced Tuesday. Steven Esteves, an employee of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, nominated the organization for the award. Funds will be used to purchase food for families during the holiday season to help the organization reach their goal of serving over 1,000 families per month. To commemorate those Harvard Pilgrim members who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, Harvard Pilgrim and the Foundation created the Community Spirit 9/11 Mini-Grant program. The program allows each Harvard Pilgrim employee to award a $500 grant, completely funded by the Foundation, to the local charity of his or her choice each calendar year.
