He has served as director of neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins childrens center, a position he assumed when he was just 33 years old, becoming the youngest Major Division director in the hospitals history. But dr. Carson is no stranger to making history. In 1987, he successfully performed the first ever separation of twins conjoined at the back of the head.
