Abdulganiyu Aminu, among the second batch of five students of College of Forestry Mechanisation rescued from bandits, says their kidnappers refused them to pray and flogged them daily in the forest.
Relieving their experience in captivity for three weeks, he said their captors refused them opportunity to perform daily Muslim prayers whenever the students asked.
Speaking shortly after the state government handed them over to the college management, Aminu said two of his siblings, Harun and Adamu, were among the 39 Afaka students kidnapped and still in captivity.
“During my three weeks in the forest I didn’t have a proper sleep, in fact, how can one sleep? because they didn’t allow us to perform prayers and If the bandits didn’t not flog us, they will use their gun butt to hit us,’ he simply said.
