Warren County residents concerned about logging plans at township park

A Warren County township’s plan to cut trees at a local park has some nearby residents expressing concern.
In September, Washington Township received a forest management plan from Gracie and Harrigan Consulting Foresters. The 10-year plan focuses on township-owned Roaring Rock Park, which is located along Harmony Brass Castle Road, Brass Castle Road and Hartmans Corner Road.
The township committee held a special meeting Monday to discuss the plan and take questions from residents. Many of the residents who spoke said they think the plan is either a bad idea or not specific enough to illustrate what will be happening.
