Hartford Symphony Orchestra's 2022-23 season will feature Gershwin, Copland, Debussy, Ravel, Tchaikovsky and of course Beethoven, but also several great Black American composers, new works and underappreciated talents like Ferde Grofe. The series will begin in October.
Hartford Symphony Orchestra's Masterworks season ends this weekend with an inspired pairing of Beethoven's 9th symphony and Philip Glass' Glass’ “Concerto for Saxophone Quartet."
After more than a decade, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra is once again playing outdoors in Bushnell Park. The free concert “Symphony in the Park” is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. If there’s bad weather, the concert will move inside to The Bushnell.
