The body voted 7-2 in favor of the 2022 budget on Monday evening, with Working Families Party council members Wildaliz Bermudez and Joshua Michtom opposing. It increases spending by 2.85%. The pay increases are being reviewed by a city council committee and must be approved by both council and the Hartford Police Union membership before they can take effect.
