The Metropolitan Tower Life Insurance Co. sold the 37-acre site to The Atrium CT LLC for $10,450,000, according to information provided by the Bloomfield Town Clerk’s office. The Metropolitan Tower Life Insurance Co. is a MetLife company. It bought what was then Cigna’s South Building in 2007, facilitating MetLife’s move from Hartford’s CityPlace office tower to the suburbs north of the city.
