Rescue. We were looking at a Fire Department bucket truck and a ladder and a crane. The bucket option has been the one that worked. Once they remove the harness to get somebody out, all of the harnesses up. So they secured everyone and then started to get them out. Its a slow deliberate process to bring the people down. Part of the probe is when you release a restraint on the individual cars, everybody in that car is then in a released position. We cant allow that to happen. So each one of the people in the cars is going to get harnessed and strapped into position so that when we release the rides restraint, then we can take the people out one by one into that bucket. Reporter so that is going to take a while. They do say they got to the folks, got them some water. Some people were in a an upright position and some were sideways. They got water for them and provided sub light. They have lights if it goes on beyond the sunset. But they do think theyll be able to get the people out in th
Mode. Duarte geraldineo has the latest on Hurricane Sandy. We see authorities raining where you are. Its hard to believe the storm is about a day away because the storm is picking up. The surf is getting taller. As i speak, millions of people have been evacuated. Yet, theres a still a sizable contingent, a large number of people who say they refuse to go. They are not lifting to emergency officials and they are weathering the storm in their own homes. Rough surf is pounding the east coast from virginia to massachusetts as sandy marches north. Forecasters say some 60 Million People are in the path of the monster storm. I dont think people are as prepared of the storm as they should be. Sandy is threatening to bring coastal flooding, high winds and snow in the 800mile area. Its already causing flooding in virginia. Because of the threat of a deadly storm surge, fisheses ordered tens and thousands of people along the coast to evacuate. Dont be stupid. Get out and go to higher safer ground
