Union health minister Harsh Vardhana on Thursday said India has successfully contained the pandemic, with 146 districts reporting no new case of the coronavirus infection in the last seven days, 18 in 14 days, six in 21 days and 21 districts in the last 28 days.
India has flattened the graph, he said. The lid on infection spread was possible due to proactive testing, with more than 19.5 crore Covid-19 tests conducted in the country so far.
