Ten years ago today, May 27, 2011, Newport Buzz was born!
Does creating this site way back when make me the smartest guy in the room or the dumbest dude you’ve ever met? I don’t know, but here’s the story of the birth of Newport Buzz.
In January of 2011, I was living in New York City and working as a producer. I had recently been laid off from an online media division of Hearst Corporation, where I primarily worked as an entertainment producer in New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and San Francisco.
Life was good, but that job went away.
