year in bringing this forward. i think it is a wise idea, and i support the outlook that was shared by one of the public speakers that the more bicycles we put on the road, that obligates the city to step up its ability to improve our infrastructure to make sure that there are, i think, the right traffic-calming measures for all modalities, beyond just it being dominated by the private automobile. i think that it is essential that we do that, and it is nice to see that these are distributed in strategic locations in different parts of the city to introduce people who are visiting san francisco to a part of san francisco that may not normally allow them to get out of fisherman s wharf or golden gate park or other sectors of the city where some of these attractions and services have been routinely offered, so i think it is a good idea. i do lean towards, i think, the recommendation, one of the alternate choices by the budget analyst in allowing the board of supervisors to retai
