Pic: Google A BID to build a detached house on land next to a distinctive Norton home has been submitted to planners. The application is for a four-bedroom detached house on land next to the art-deco home at 31, Eveson Road. The house, known as the White House, is an example of early modern domestic architecture. It was designed by Harry Richard Peel Yates, a local man who spent part of his career in North America where he did architectural work for the Canada National Railway. If given the go-ahead the new house would be built next to the existing house, and would have a garage, lounge, kitchen/diner, toilet and utility.
