Over the New Year’s weekend, Edith Ann’s Taste of Home owner Lee McGucken took a hard look at the books.
During December, amid the pandemic, Edith Ann’s, a beloved South Huntsville diner known for their breakfast, only did $8,000 in sales. He compared that to December 2019, when they did $36,000 in sales.
“I just looked at that and was like, ‘Wow,’” McGucken tells me. “I wasn’t making enough money to pay the bills …
