New principal appointed to lead Harry Lee Cole School

BOXFORD Superintendent Scott R. Morrison recently announced that Tracey L. Mara will be the next principal of the Harry Lee Cole School in Boxford effective July 1.
Mara is currently the principal of the Ivan G. Smith Elementary School in Danvers since 2015. For three years prior to moving to Danvers, Mara worked for Teachers21 as a consultant providing professional development to school staff and administrators, along with mentoring new principals. Mara was a principal in Wellesley for nine years before that and assistant principal in Sudbury. She began her career teaching second and third grades in Marshfield. Mara holds her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Boston College and her master’s degree in administration and supervision from the University of Virginia.
