At the commemoration of Greek Independence Day, the Greek Consul General for NSW said he wants to continue to draw links between Indigenous Australians and Greeks through shared mythology and cultural history.
The Greek Festival of Sydney was a rousing success as it settled once again in Darling Harbour and, after a tumultuous past few years, its future looks better than ever as the NSW government commits to doubling the event's funding.
The event, organised chiefly by the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, is set for a huge day of activities filled with performances, dances, along with the standard assortment of food and merchandise stalls.
