Jeff Bezos Washington Post ignores Amazon decision to remove book on transgenderism

When Harry Became Sally author Ryan Anderson details the situation on The Ingraham Angle A controversial decision by billionaire Jeff Bezos s behemoth online retailer Amazon to remove a bestselling book has gone unreported by his newspaper, the Washington Post.  Author Ryan T. Anderson said this week his book, When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, was removed from Amazon. The decision caused swift backlash, as critics pointed out Amazon has a history of censoring books that don’t coincide with the company’s liberal political views. While the Washington Post has not covered the decision by Amazon to remove the book, it did cover the same book in 2018 with a story headlined, Ryan Anderson’s book on transgender people is creating an uproar.

Speaking of hate speech

Speaking of hate speech As in a Stalinist purge, Amazon has silently “disappeared” Ryan Anderson’s book When Harry Became Sally. Amazon tacitly alleges that it acted under revised guidelines prohibiting the sale of “content that we determine is hate speech … or other material we deem inappropriate or offensive,” including content that “promotes the abuse or sexual exploitation of children, contains pornography, glorifies rape or pedophilia, [or] advocates terrorism.” Beyond citing the policy, Amazon has declined to justify its treatment of Anderson’s book. The suppression of Anderson’s book cannot reasonably be justified under Amazon’s policy. Not even close. What we have here is the enforcement of a party line forgive me for repeating myself as in a Stalinist purge.
