The Commission certified the results unanimously, citing no major issues with the election or the canvassing process.
âAll three of the commissioners were present from time to time â Patsy (Trecost) and I were there from start to finish,â Commissioner Ron Watson said. âI think it went pretty smoothly and was pretty transparent. Everything was ensured that every vote counted.â
Of the 4,326 voters who turned out at the countyâs 67 precincts, 3,705 voted for the levy, 615 voted against the levy, and six ballots were left blank.
Levy rates will remain unchanged: 20.33 cents on Class I property, 40.66 cents on Class II property and 81.32 cents on Class III and Class IV property.
