Fox 26’s Randy Wallace continues to do incredible working exposing what Houston Crime Stopper’s Andy Kahan calls the “Harris County Bond Pandemic”.
This week, they exposed how Harris County Criminal Court Judges are freeing suspects charged with murder on bond, even when the alleged murder occurred while they were free on bond for another criminal charge.
Kahan points out they “discovered about 14 defendants, who were originally out on multiple felony bonds or PR bonds, who were then charged with murder, and actually granted another bond to get out.”
Eleven of those 14 murder defendants remain free.
KPRC-TV reports that so far this year, Houston has seen a 44% increase in homicides compared to last year.
