Fox6s Madeline Anderson is live at the Police District on 4th and locust with the details. Nost Police Officers were hospitalized after suffering nonlife threatening injuries. Those injuries though. Were not from the bbgun. Milwaukee police say around 2 30 this afternoon. Officers were called to franklin regarding a 13year old male student who had brought a soft shot, plastic bb gun to school. As the officers spoke with the student, he became physically combative with them. The officers attempt to control him. I spoke with people who live across the street from franklin. It was put together because of concern regarding the lead pipes used to pump water into old homes. Pete zervakis joins us live from happening today. This mornings first meeting of the Water Quality task force is set for 9 am at city hall. The group was put together to study how to make sure milwaukees Drinking Water stays safe. According to the city. The water itself is clean and ok to drink. But in some older homes those built pre1951. Lead pipes are being used to transport water from city water properties. And then from Property Line to the water meter. That lead can dissolve and seep into the water. The city notified about 70 thousand such homeowners of the risk earlier this year.
