A team of people from Oldham Council have heard some heartbreaking stories as they check on local people

Three raps of the letterbox echo around the street. Opening the door to find someone in hi-vis stood outside can often put people on edge but a warm smile, followed by “Hi, I’m Michelle from Oldham Council, is everyone ok?” sets the mind at ease.
Michelle is one of five people from the council walking the streets, knocking on doors to make sure people have everything they need to get through the coronavirus pandemic.
