LITTLE ROCK, Ark Black Restaurant Week seeks to highlight Black culinary business nationwide to bring awareness to black owned food businesses.
There are 70 known Black owned food places in Central Arkansas.
The long tradition of food, family, and culture is being discussed with every meal at the Little Rock restaurant, So Full .
You can find Curlethia Swanigan opening up the doors to her soul food café, So Full , which she mentioned is play on the word soulful.

COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - It was an undercover FBI operation that went on for well over a year in the early 1980s. Dubbed âColcorâ by federal officials, the far reaching organized crime scandal shocked the community. Betweeen Colcor and Operation Gateway, a neighboring federal investigation in Brunswick County going on at the same time, about a dozen high profile government officials found themselves under arrest, along with dozens of other citizens caught up in the crime ring.
Christopher “Chris” Lowery
Chris was born and raised in Tracy, CA and moved to Manteca in 1996.
Early in life, Chris showed a unique aptitude for taking apart, fixing, and putting back together any piece of machinery (his mother feared for her clocks and toasters!).
Chris started his plumbing career working for Bud’s plumbing. In the mid 1990’s he started his own business, Lowery’s Plumbing. He worked the business for several years performing service and repair and new construction. He then went to work for American Construction as a plumber and after two decades he was running multiple commercial construction projects.
