Tony Beltrami secured a cozy pocket ride with Dark Pool and pounced to paydirt in the $12,162 American Harness Drivers Club (AHDC) Trot at Freehold Raceway on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 17).
The $16,216 Preferred Handicap pace at Freehold Raceway was a thrilling one on Feb. 10. Mark Herschberger piloted 19-1 Big Stretch Mark to victory after a nail-biter of a stretch battle.
John Ahle and Austin Siegelman left little opportunity for any other driver to score on the 12-race card at Freehold Raceway on Saturday (Jan. 13). Between the two of them, they won nine races. Ahle had five wins, including the feature, and Siegelman was right behind him with four wins.
The unusually warm weather on Saturday (Dec. 9) at Freehold Raceway wasn’t the only thing heating up. Driver Jack Pelling was on fire as he visited the winner’s circle four times on the eleven-race card, including a win in the $12,000 Preferred Handicap Pace, which was also known as the Toys for Tots Pace.
Trainer Ake Svanstedt had trainees competing in 11 John Simpson Sr. Memorial stakes races this past week at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania. Those Svanstedt trainees won every one of those races
