As the two major public school districts return from their two-week, remote-only instructional period, they and other education institutions have been marred by the freezing temperatures that started this Sunday. With the severity of the cold experienced, many schools were shut down in response, including higher education institutes.
The major issue seen across all schools was power outages that resulted from the fierce cold. With Tuesday seeing campus and office closures throughout the city as a result of the weather, its impact will continue at education institutions across the city.
