CHICAGO, May 13, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) today announced the recipients who will receive a portion of $550,000 in total funding to help deliver critical COVID-19 resources to those most impacted by the pandemic. These grants are part of BCBSIL #VaccTogether Month – an initiative connecting communities with vaccines and bolstering local outreach and education efforts ahead of the summer months.
As part of BCBSIL s collaborative approach to help Illinois residents recover from COVID-19, the awarded funds empower 16 community-based organizations across the state to expand access to COVID-19 vaccinations, testing and education.

Caritas receives $20K grant

BELLEVILLE Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) has awarded Caritas Family Solutions Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) program a $20,000 grant for additional direct client support costs associated with the ongoing pandemic.
The CILA program provides adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in a loving, caring home environment where they can experience independence and community. The program allows people who are not fully able to care for themselves the opportunity to live in a home environment, rather than an institution. Caritas operates six homes throughout Southern Illinois and the Metro East serving 21 adults.

Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- To help ease the ongoing needs of Illinoisans created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) has awarded C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation a $20,000 grant as part of BCBSIL’s latest round of giving aimed at helping the helpers.

CHICAGO, April 1, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) today is announcing that an expanded pool of 175 non-profit organizations will each be receiving $20,000 in grants to address crucial needs for people across the state as a result of COVID-19.
Last month, BCBSIL opened applications for this second round of quick-release funding as part of its COVID-19 Community Collaboration Fund. The grant program is aimed at supporting community-based organizations doing work in five focus areas - access to care, hunger, shelter and behavioral health care, and COVID-19 health education and vaccine access.
