There’s not a beauty trend that doesn’t seem off limits these days, from Bella Hadid’s ‘fox eyes’ starting a cosmetic surgery trend amongst young girls, to people eating collagen powder by the spoonful.
Hair and beauty experts from across the UK have shared their beauty predictions, with Hollie Ellis of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics revealing that the ‘smokey eye’ will once again be popular.
GCT’S Lifestyle Journalist and Makeup Artist Despina Karp went in search of the trends to be on the lookout for this year (or what’s left of it) and here’s what we found.

And despite being quite determined to have the surgery, her husband Jon McEwan and children Rebecca, 46, and Joshua, 32, are not said to be very keen.
Control your portion sizes
AS Dr Khan reported, animal studies suggest that a 10-50 percent reduction in calorie intake can increase an individual’s maximum lifespan.
Studies of humans show similar links between low calorie intake and an extended lifespan with a lower likelihood of disease. Naturally, calorie restriction helps to reduce excess body weight and belly fat, of which both carry the risk of a shorter lifespan, says Dr Khan.
