Resigned to the dusty annals of history for decades, the story of Menzies’ vandalised portrait has only now resurfaced, thanks to some clever art detective work.
The school celebrated Festive Friday , a yearly tradition for both staff and pupils. Corridors were filled with Christmas clothing and a range of activities took place through the day to lift everyone s spirits.
Angel Griffiths, Harley Griffiths, Thea Samson and Mathias Polak Colleen Everett, head teacher, said: The children looked fantastic and really went to town with their outfits. It was fantastic to hear laughing and see the children having so much fun after what has been a very difficult year for them This year we wanted to make our Festive Friday extra special for the children and, judging by the smiles on their faces, we did just that.
