Bqp.vn) - Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang held phone talks with his Canadian counterpart Harjit Singh Sajjan on May 6. At the phone talks in Hanoi, Vietnam. At the phone talks, the both sides reviewed the results of the Vietnam - Canada diplomatic relation since it was established in 1973 in various fields, including defence cooperation. Accordingly, the bilateral defence cooperation has been growing effectively and the two sides have implemented a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral defence cooperation, and achieved positive results in areas, such as training, peacekeeping operations as well as maritime security.
