In a tragic incident, a man from Prakasam district, Harish Babu, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Australia. Harish Babu was a native of Korisapadu mandal and he was residing in Salisbury of Adelaide for nearly six years.
Harish babu’s wife, who was pregnant last year, came to India to stay with her parents and due to lockdown and pandemic, she could not go back to Australia. However, with new relaxations, the wife decided to travel back to Australia yesterday along with their new born son.

It is the fifth spotting of the critically endangered species in Kerala
Birdwatchers have spotted a rare migratory bird of the bustard species named Lesser Florican in the wetlands of Chattanchal in Kasaragod.
This is the first time that a rare migratory bird is spotted in the district. While it is the fifth reporting of the bird in Kerala, Lesser Florican was earlier spotted at Karunagappally in Kollam in 1990 and Parassinikadavu in Kannur in 1996. In 2012, it was found in Thrissur. The bird was spotted in Kozhikode in 2017.

A bird survey conducted by the Forest Department in Ranipuram forest
has recorded 98 species. This is the first time that the department is conducting a direct bird survey in Ranipuram, which has been attracting a lot of tourists with its pristine forest and grasslands.
The survey team was led by Maxim Rodriguez, Shyamkumar Puravankara, Raju Kidoor, Harish Babu, Manoj Karingamadathil and K.K. Lathika.
Mr. Rodrigues said that high altitude and the forest untouched by humans has created a fertile habitat for many bird species.
