Lib Dem leader Cllr Luke Cawley-Harrison claimed there had been a “serious failure of due diligence” after the council spent £22.6 million on Alexandra House in Wood Green – even though it was worth just £10 million as office space. Details of the transaction were revealed at a meeting of the council’s corporate committee last month.
