Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya urged the public not to fall complacent with standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance when celebrating the coming Hari Raya Aidilftri festivities.
“Amid the cheerfulness and the flexibility to gather together again, do not forget that we must always abide by the Covid-19 SOPs and the guidelines outlined by the Government.
“As we celebrate the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations, we must continue to ensure our safety and healthy.
“Abide by the SOPs in our daily interactions so that we may dutifully carry out our responsibility in curbing risk of Covid-19 transmissions among the community,”
He said in his welcoming speech during a breaking of fast (buka puasa) programme at the Sabah International Convention Center, here, Sunday.
