Delaware Business Now Good afternoon, We usually don’t feature Senate speeches, but earlier this week,the transcript of Sen. Chris Coons’ Postal Service address was posted. Coons says his office has been getting numerous complaints about delays affecting businesses and individuals. The problems seem to be especially serious in southern Delaware. Both the Cape Gazette and Delmarva Farmerreported delivery delays with their print products. Here and elsewhere, consumers had reported bills being mailed earlier but got hit with late charges when the mail was delivered weeks later, if at all. The problems have been building over the decades due to the lack of needed reforms that include huge losses and a requirement that pension obligations be paid upfront.
