MOOREFIELD Police say a mother shot her two children, who both died from the wounds, and then committed suicide Thursday evening.
Brandi Baker, 38, of Moorefield, and her nine-month old infant both died from gunshot wounds, officials said. The second child was in critical condition after being transported to Morgantown Medical Center, but then died Friday from the injuries.
Moorefield Police Department officers responded to a call of gunshots at a residence on Winchester Avenue at about 6:40 p.m. Thursday evening, according to a MFP press release. Inside the home officers found Baker and the infant, who were pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardy County Medical Examiner.

HARDY COUNTY, W. Va. (WHSV) - Moorefield Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving a mother and her two children.
According to police, officers responded to a home along the 500 block of Winchester Avenue for a report of gunshots on Thursday night. Once on the scene, officers said they found the body of Brandi Baker, 38, and a nine-month-old infant. They also found another child wounded in the home from a gunshot.
