ENFORCEMENT action is set to be taken after Fife Council refused a retrospective planning application for a fence at a Halbeath industrial yard. Permission had been sought to erect a boundary fence and change the use of open space operated by Gray and Adams which is based on the Lyneburn Industrial Estate. The work has already been carried out and agents for the firm said they had been unaware that planning permission was required. However their application was turned down by the council s planning department this week as it said insufficient information about any potential flood risk had been provided.
