But was it also ideal for running the trails while wearing Valentine-themed costumes?

Here s why: Roof organized a fun run at Sterling State Park Saturday. In keeping with Valentine s Day weekend, she asked participants to wear underwear or Valentine-themed attire. Stay warm, girls, another runner, Roxie Dobbs of Monroe, said as she settled on her clothing layers for the occasion.
The chosen attire among the costumed runners included socks with pink hearts, a hot pink bra and red dance tutus.
Roof hoped for as many as 10 people to participate that day; most of them friends who met through fitness training at Pillar Fitness at Mall of Monroe. Actual participation was four women and one man, accompanied by a youth on a bicycle.
