Harbor Springs will be adding upgrades to Marina Park, where they hope people will flock to this season.
The city estimates the temporary improvements will cost $30,000 to $40,000. They plan to add more benches, flower gardens, a place for games, and a stage where entertainers will perform two to three times a week.
There will also be a place for restaurant-goers to sit down and enjoy some food from local restaurants.
“We’re allowing some of the local restaurants to come down and either have a table or a cart and serve in the park at off hours from when they might have their restaurants open to handle some of the crowds that we’re hoping are gonna be here,” said Margo Damoose, Director of the Harbor Springs Downtown Development Authority.
