Aminul Haque Laskar Besides BJP, Laskar had the support of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bodo People’s Front, the two parties who were partners in the BJP-led ruling coalition in Assam. On July 31, 2019, he was elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
