A Nisa retailer in Northampton has hit its 1,000th home delivery mark since launching a partnership with Appy Shop in November.
The store owner of Nisa Local Whitehills, Alex Kapadia, said current lockdown restrictions had seen orders grow to about 200 a week.
The service promises shoppers same-day delivery, usually within an hour of the order being placed, the retailer said.
“We have seen the service grow very quickly since its launch and lockdown 3.0 has prompted another surge of interest,” said Kapadia.
“Customers might be struggling to get a delivery slot with the big four supermarkets, but they can order from us and can get same-day delivery, within about an hour of placing their order.”

A Nisa retailer in Northampton has made its 1,000th home delivery, with orders growing to around 200 every week.
The service – launched by Nisa Local Whitehills in November via the Appy Shop mobile app – provides same-day delivery and in most cases within an hour of the order being placed.
The service offers more than 3,500 products, including over 1,000 Co-op products, and deliveries between 11am and 10pm seven days per week to a five-mile radius around the store.
Store owner, Alex Kapadia, said: “We have seen the service grow very quickly since its launch and lockdown 3.0 has prompted another surge of interest.

Costcutter has rolled out a partnership with online delivery platform Appy Shop across its company-owned and independent estate.
It will offer its shoppers both home delivery and click & collect services for immediate orders or for future timeslots.
A repeat order function will also be available, as will a shopper ‘favourites’ option, to enable quick ordering.
The retailer made the move in order to meet the growing demand for home delivery on top of its tie-up with Uber Eats, which began in 2019.
“Independent retailers recognise the current and future benefits of last-mile home delivery in terms of increased footfall and basket spend,” said Costcutter Supermarkets Group marketing director Sean Russell.
