good morning, alex. reporter: good morning. that s right, protesters are still out there. word came late last night that president mubarak would be addressing the egyptian people after a week of violent and huge protests. yesterday we saw the biggest day yet with estimates of crowd sizes running from 500,000 to 2 million people across the country. president mubarak came out around 11:00 p.m. the major takeaway, he promises not to run again in september. this is one of the demands of protesters. this was the demand of president obama s envoy frank wisner. it did not sit well with the egyptian people, with the protesters on that square. they rejected it whole-heartedly saying, we to want see you go now. it did not live up to their expectations. one of the protesters that i spoke with said, he s been lying for 30 years, why should we believe him now? another one said, he ll use these next seven months to round people up who have been protesting against him over these last few days.
