EAST HANOVER TWP. â The grades K-8 School District will be closed to in-school learning with all students being placed on full-remote instruction through the holiday season.
In an email released to the community Tuesday night, Dec. 8, Superintendent Natalee Bartlett cited the recent spike in cases and the difficulty in contact tracing as determining factors in the districtâs decision.
Additionally, multiple cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in each of the districtâs school buildings forcing the isolation and quarantining of numerous staff members and students.
âOur local caseload has risen appreciably,â Bartlett said. âWe work very closely with the East Hanover Department of Health and the mayor and town council. After examining all the variables, we concluded that it was in the best interest of our students, faculty, and stakeholders to move from hybrid learning into our full-remote model of instruction.â
