The Hanoi Centre for Disease Control this morning announced four new COVID-19 cases, including one woman who came into contact with a confirmed case nearly two weeks ago but withheld the information from contact tracers.

The 28-year-old woman, whose name was given as N.T.K.A, residing at the Garden Hill apartment building, No.99 Tran Binh Street, Nam Tu Liem District, reportedly came into contact with Patient No. 1,722 (connected to the outbreak at a military-run factory in Hanoi, confirmed positive on January 30) on January 26 at the gate of the building.

Hanoi recorded another COVID-19 infection case in the early morning of January 30, a man from Nam Tu Liem District, who returned from Hai Duong Province.
The 41-year-old man resides in Xuan Phuong ward, Nam Tu Liem district, and works for a factory in the outskirts district of Dong Anh.
Mr. Khong Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC Hanoi) told VietNamNet that this is the 3rd Covid-19 case in the city related to the Covid-19 outbreak in Hai Duong Province.

Vietnam’s Phuc praises security ministry for anti-corruption work

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has spoken highly of the Ministry of Public Security’s contributions to the fight against corruption of the whole country.
Addressing the conference to review corruption prevention and control work of the ministry on December 30, Phuc said the security force had played a key role in fighting against and investigating corruption cases.
