STUDENTS at a Weymouth secondary school and sixth form celebrated being the the first to receive a new award recognising their achievements inside out and outside of school. Aspirations Academies Trust Co-founders and trustees, Steve and Paula Kenning visited the Budmouth Academy to congratulate the first recipients of the Aspirations Edge Award. The Aspirations Edge Programme is designed to encourage students to demonstrate key personal skills such as leadership, resilience, initiative and communication. The programme enables students to become accredited at the levels of Apprentice (Year 7 and 8), Graduate (Years 9, 10 and 11) and Masters (Sixth Form). Despite the disruption to her first year, Year 7 student Isabelle Woodfield did not let things get in her way and she managed to complete ten activities on the programme before the end of her first academic year.
