At a time when available new housing stock in the city is at a relatively all-time low, a proposed subdivision in the city’s east end met with an avalanche of public opposition Monday in a virtual public meeting.
Armed with visual presentations, research and neighbourhood anecdotal experiences, residents living near the lands of the newly proposed Hanley Park North subdivision east of Mercedes Drive and north of Victoria Avenue, warned the development would pose long-term harmful impacts to Bell Creek wetlands.
