Pretium Resources’ (TSX: PVG; NYSE: PVG) 25,350-metre 2020 exploration program has led to the discovery of a new zone of epithermal-style gold mineralization, the Hanging Glacier zone.
The gold producer has released the results of its 2020 grassroots exploration program completed within the 1,200-sq.-km land package around the Brucejack underground mine.
The Hanging Glacier zone is made up of two areas – North Hanging Glacier and South Hanging Glacier – which are approximately 4 km northwest of Brucejack. The two zones are defined by anomalous gold-in-soil values, which cover an area of 1.5 km by 1 km.

(TSX/NYSE: PVG) ( Pretivm or the Company ) announces the results of the 2020 regional grassroots exploration program, including a discovery at the Hanging Glacier Zone, and plans for the Company s 2021 exploration programs.
The 2020 regional grassroots exploration program included 25,350 meters of diamond drilling completed in four mineralized zones across the 1,200-square kilometer property that surrounds the Brucejack Mine. The highlight from the program was the discovery of epithermal-style gold mineralization in the Hanging Glacier Zone, located four kilometers northwest from the Brucejack Mine. This new zone of gold mineralization demonstrates the district-scale potential at Brucejack. See Table 1 below for assays from the 2020 program.
kind of video that we came across there on youtube what comes to mind for you? immediately, it was my own experience in 99 when a large block of ice many miles above us released and then came down. so in the instance of this avalanche, there was a hanging glacier, so there s a glacier with a big cliff below it between pimori and lanetrain and when that earthquake triggered that many tons of ice came down accelerated over a vertical cliff and then hit the slopes below it. so it picked up along the way, the wind blast that we saw in that video. wow. you know, when we look at this video again, you know on base camp and you can describe better than anyone what it is like. this is the area where dozens of trekkers in their camps, they they are there getting their bodies acclimated before they make their big ascensions up in this case mount everest.
