Gov't to probe hospitals not giving health workers regular COVID-19 tests — Malacañang

FILE PHOTO Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 15) The national government will look into hospitals that do not comply with the order to test health workers periodically for COVID-19, Malacañang warned on Thursday. Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a briefing that hospitals may be held liable for violating the government order. Ang mandatory testing ng workers na regular is provided in a DOH (Department of Health) issuance. So kung merong paglabag diyan ipagbigay-alam lang po natin sa DOH at papaimbestigahan natin kung sino ang mga health facilities ang hindi nagbibigay ng mandated na regular testing for health workers, he said.

DOH to ensure health workers get regular COVID-19 tests

endIndex: Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 14) The Department of Health is ready to assist hospitals in ensuring compliance with their order on conducting regular COVID-19 tests for their health workers, an official said Wednesday. In an interview with CNN Philippines The Source, Health Undersecretary Rosario Vergeire clarified the testing protocols being imposed by the government to ensure the safety of health workers while attending to COVID-19 patients. Vergeire said the Health Department will seek ways to assist hospitals in ramping up testing after she acknowledged their financial limitations due to the pandemic. We are going to check on this and we will try to assist hospitals so they may be able to give that protection to health workers, Vergeire said.
