Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, in a post on X, said, “In Sangrur, the home district of the Chief Minister, the atrocious order to cane-charge farmers has claimed life of a farmer.
The farmers will hold a rally in Chandigarh on Tuesday, seeking compensation for crop losses suffered during the recent floods. A farmer had died on Monday after clashes with the police in Sangrur.
